Dr. Gregory P. Harvey, Orthopaedic Surgeon, Sports Medicine.
Dr. Harvey
is originally from New York and has practiced orthopaedics in Houston since 1991. He is married and has five daughters. He enjoys running, tennis, golf and skiing.
MEDICAL SPECIALIZATION & EDUCATION
Dr. Harvey is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon. His private practice of orthopaedic surgery includes a special interest in sports medicine, and in surgery of the knee and shoulder. In 1979, Dr. Harvey received his B.S. degree from Tufts University. In 1983, he received his medical degree from New York Medical College. In 1984, he completed his internship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York and then completed an orthopaedic research fellowship at New York Medical College. In 1990, he completed his residency at New York Medical College where he was Chief Resident in 1989-90. Dr. Harvey is on staff at St. Joseph Hospital, Hermann Hospital, and Kingwood Hospital.
Prior to joining Orthopaedic Associates, Dr.Harvey completed his fellowship in Sports Medicine and shoulder surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. He is team Physician for the U.S Free Style Ski Team. He is the former Director of St.Joseph Sports Medicine Center, and the former Chairman of Orthopaedic Surgery at St.Joseph Hospital. Dr.harvey is Clinical Assistant Professor of the residency teaching program at the University of Texas Medical School, where he holds a co appointment. He is one of the few surgeons in the country who has been awarded the Subspecialty Certificate in Sports Medicine.
