Dr. Criswell practices general orthopaedics with a special interest in the treatment and management of pelvic fractures and patients with multiple traumatic injuries.
In 1967, Dr. Criswell received his B.S. from Bucknell University. In 1971, he received his medical degree from Temple University. He completed his orthopaedic residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in 1976 and then served two years in the U.S. Navy. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Criswell is on staff at Hermann Hospital, St. Joseph Hospital, Spring Branch Medical Center, and Christus St. Catherine in Katy.
Dr. Criswell is active in the residency teaching program at the University of Texas Medical School where he holds an appointment of Clinical Professor.
He is a member of numerous medical societies and has authored many articles in his fields of interest.
