Dr.Buckle practices general orthopedics with special interest in both adult and pediatric fractures. She performs total hip replacements and total knee replacements. She performs joint replacement surgery using minimally invasive techniques and utilizes ceramic bearing surfaces.
In 1985, Dr. Buckle received her Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from the University of Notre Dame. In 1989, she received her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. In 1990, Dr. Buckle completed her surgical internship at the University of Colorado in Denver. In 1994, she completed her orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center. During her residency she spoke at several national meetings on her clinical research in the areas of fractures and orthopedic trauma. She is the author of several publications in this field. In 1996, Dr.Buckle was certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons.
Dr.Buckle is on staff at Christus St. Catherine Hospital, St. Joseph Hospital, Hermann Hospital, Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital, MD Anderson Hospital, Memorial City Hospital, and Kingwood HCA Hospital.
Dr.Buckle is on the production, design and educational team for line of fracture and trauma instrumentation utilized worldwide, known as Stryker.
While attending Notre Dame, Dr.Buckle ran track and field. During her last 2 years at Notre Dame, she was a student trainer on the Notre Dame sports medicine staff working with the Varsity football, basketball, and track teams. She is a triathlete and marathon runner.
